Subash Gogia, known affectionately as Bashi by his family, is a man of many talents. Born on March 31, 1946, in Srinagar.
Growing up in Dehradun, Subash attended St. Joseph Academy, Subash’s father, the renowned magician Gogia Pasha, moved the family to London, where Subash attended William Graham Academy. Additionally, he spent a year each in school in Austria and Germany. The family returned to Dehradun in 1962.
Prince Shah Johan, Subash embarked on a solo career in magic, performing shows in Mumbai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila, and Europe from 1967 to 1968. In 1969, he founded his own group, Prince Shah Johan & Shery Shop, before eventually transitioning to the field of interior contracting.
Partnering with Parviz Faramarzi, Subash established La-Kozy, a highly successful interior decoration and contracting business. After 12 successful years, La-Kozy closed its doors, leading Subash to start his own company, Gogia Interiors, in 1981.
Subash’s entrepreneurial journey has continued into 2022, with his interests expanding to include real estate and stocks. Despite his age of 77, he remains active and engaged in his work.
Subash Gogia’s passion for the interior business has driven him to work with a diverse clientele, ranging from Ambani to Vijay Mallya. Throughout his career, he has maintained a close relationship with his mentor and friend, Hafeez Contractor, a renowned figure in the field.
